Under Md. Rule 2-504.2, all parties in a civil case in Circuit Court are required to submit pre-trial statements and participate in a pre-trial conference. The purpose of the statements and the conference are to outline the issues for trial. This is a sample pre-trial statement from an accident case in Baltimore City Circuit Court.

PLAINTIFF’S PRETRIAL STATEMENT

Plaintiff, Stephanie Stratton, by and through her attorneys, Laura G. Zois and Miller & Zois, LLC, submits this Pretrial Statement in the above-referenced matter.

Statement of Facts

On or about July 4, 2019, the Plaintiff was traveling eastbound on Madison Street, approaching the intersection of Pratt Street in Baltimore City.   The traffic signal facing her was green and the Plaintiff entered the intersection.  Defendant’s vehicle was traveling southbound on Pratt Street, coming from Plaintiff’s left at a high rate of speed.  The impact took place between the front of Plaintiff’s vehicle and the driver’s side rear portion of Defendant Eastern Petroleum’s truck.  The Plaintiff sustained serious and permanent injuries to her right ankle and foot as a result of the negligence of the Defendants.
